Accelerator hosts software developer Wayman Harris
Sacramento, February 7, 2019 — The Capital Region AR VR Accelerator was pleased to host Wayman Harris, a VR/AR software developer at Applied Materials in Santa Clara as a guest Subject Matter Expert on Wednesday, February 6. Wayman specializes in interactive computational logic and integrating gamification into existing services.
Wayman currently helps maintain and initialize Applied Material’s VR training simulator. Playing a key role in building the training simulation architecture and framework, Wayman assists the team in looking for and evaluating 3rd party services. Below is a photo of Wayman with representatives of our Capital Region AR VR Accelerator team and the start-ups participating in the cohort.

Given the importance for start-up companies to establish credibility as early in their development cycle as possible, creating customer, R&D partnerships, strategic alliances and or investment relationships with corporations is often a critical early validation milestone. To that end, Wayman spent time over an extended luncheon with the Accelerator’s start-ups sharing keen, practical insights on how young companies can most effectively garner the interest of major, multi-national corporations like Applied Materials.
Wayman began his career doing Freelance, Contract work, and occasionally participated in game development competitions. In 2013 he also entered a VR accelerator sponsored by Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.
