Strategic Partners and Collaborators
The HTC Vive is a virtual reality headset developed by HTC and Valve Corporation. The headset uses “room scale” tracking technology, allowing the user to move in 3D space and use motion-tracked handheld controllers to interact with the environment.
The HTC Vive was unveiled during HTC’s Mobile World Congress keynote in March 2015. Development kits were sent out in August and September 2015, and the first Consumer version of the device was released on April 5th, 2016.
City of Sacramento
Sacramento is the capital city of the state of California and the seat of Sacramento County. It is at the confluence of the Sacramento River and the American River in the northern portion of California’s expansive Central Valley, known as the Sacramento Valley.
Its estimated 2018 population of 501,334 makes it the sixth-largest city in California, the fastest-growing big city in the state, and the 35th largest city in the United States. Sacramento is the cultural and economic core of the Sacramento metropolitan area, which includes seven counties.
Tech Futures Group
Funding from the Small Business Administration (SBA) and others allows TFG to pay its advisors and provide free services to its clients. TFG takes no equity and accepts no cash from clients.
TFG’s advisors include entrepreneurs, patent attorneys, CFO advisors, government grant specialists, manufacturing experts, and law firms that provide general legal advice.
Nevada County Tech Connection
The Nevada County Tech Connection (NCTC) is working to support, connect, and showcase the technology eco-system in Nevada County. We provide tech-related events, education, training, coaching, networking, and mentoring opportunities for Nevada County’s tech community.
Digital technology and high tech manufacturing are high-wage and high-growth industries that support our local workforce through both local and remote work opportunities. Our technology sector services and supports other industries through cross-sector collaborations and initiatives. A strong, diverse, thriving and connected tech community is the key to economic growth in our county.
Five Star Bank
Among the top 10% of performing banks in the nation for banks of their size, Five Star Bank was founded in 1999 by a group of local entrepreneurs who wanted to create the kind of personalized banking services they desired themselves – services inspired by partnership and defined by shared vision and goals.

Mark’s accomplishments include successfully exiting a Rocklin, CA based enterprise that maintained hundreds of employees and generated over $200M in annual revenues. Along with serving on various corporate boards, Mark currently owns or co-owns dozens of businesses within numerous industries, such as; new media, real estate, construction, transportation, distribution, and security.

The McClatchy Company
The McClatchy Company is a publicly traded American publishing company based in Sacramento, California. It operates 29 daily newspapers in fourteen states and has an average weekday circulation of 1.6 million and Sunday circulation of 2.4 million. In 2006, it purchased Knight Ridder, which at the time was the second-largest newspaper company in the United States.
In addition to its daily newspapers, McClatchy also operates several websites and community papers, as well as a news agency, McClatchyDC, focused on political news from Washington, D.C.
The Sacramento Kings
The Sacramento Kings are an American professional basketball team based in Sacramento, California. The Kings compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the Western Conference’s Pacific Division.
The Kings are the only team in the major professional North American sports leagues located in Sacramento. The team plays its home games at the Golden 1 Center.

NCTV Digital Media Center
The NCTV Media Center is located in a 21,000 square foot facility nestled in the forest near Nevada City, California. The facility has a co-working space and offices, high-speed broadband, shared use of office equipment and conference rooms, commercialization and development labs, a state-of-the-art collaboration center, a broadcast studio with green screen, and a training center/collaboration room.
